Sight Reading Test: Fri. April 4
Study all your notes on elements. Make sure you can used the terms effectively. I will be giving you a short story and asking paragraph answers involving the seven elements. (Just like your homework.)
Content Test: Mon. April 7 - To study:
"Hills," "Lady's," "Opposite," "1955," "Ounce," "Serious," "Sunday in the Park," "Blue Bouquet"
setting and atmosphere, theme, conflict, character, point of view, symbol and irony
Make sure you know the notes on the elements. There will be fill in the blank and sentence answers based on these notes.
Make sure you know the authors for each short story.
I will ask at least one question on each of the elements applying one question specifically about each short story.
Make sure you can discuss all seven elements and all seven stories,
After you have gone through each story's elements, pair up with someone and share ideas. The test is out of 60 - 10 fill in the blanks, 10 marks on literary theory and 8 paragraph answers worth 5 marks each.
