 editing - find the mistake in the sentences - study your editing sheets and your sentence corrections - class feedback for writing, apostrophe notes.

poetry - review poetic devices - make sure you understand page 4 of the poetry package - practice by going over poems we didn't study in the package - be familiar with all poetic devices

prose - review elements of short fiction (7 sets of notes)

writing - go over your essays, essay notes, essay package and writing improvements - make a note of my individual advice

get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.

ANYONE WHO MISSES EITHER THE TEST OR THE ESSAY MUST BRING A SIGNED NOTE FROM THEIR PARENTS EXCUSING HIS/HER ABSENCE.

How to study for MacTest:

The mark break down:
5 marks dramatic devices
5 mark Shakespearean words (in context)
10 marks character
15 marks plot
30 marks quote recognition and analysis
15 marks paragraph answers


- go over the dramatic devices sheet - make sure you understand how plays work
- go over the plot and characters - make sure you know what each character does and the basic plot outline
- go through the play looking for the most important quotes - see if you know who said them, what is going on and the greater significance in the play
- make sure have watched the movie and can write critically about it


**After studying alone, quiz your class-mates, especially about the quotes.
